Helix Cigars
The word Helix originates from the Greek language, and it is defined as being a three-dimensional, twisted shape. Helices are commonly used in biology, as the all important DNA molecule is formed as two intertwined helices. Some examples of helices in your everyday life would be a spring or a screw. That’s your science lesson for the day, now let’s talk about the cigar, shall we?
General Cigar has been well ahead of the game for many years and is one of the biggest cigar companies in the world. At the turn of the 21st century, they began noticing that most companies were introducing more powerful, full-bodied cigars, to appeal to the long-time smoker. Helix cigar’s were introduced to counter that point, and to cater to the novice smoker as well as the seasoned veteran. BestCigarPrices.com currently offers three lines of Helix cigars: Natural, Maduro and Remix. All Helix cigars are handmade at the Centro American Cigars factory in Danli, Honduras.
The Helix Natural cigar has a mild Connecticut wrapper, as well as fine Mexican tobacco for the binder. The blend used for the filler is created with tobacco from Brazil, Honduras, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. A smooth cigar that is a perfect fit for any mild-bodied smoker. The Helix Natural cigar maintains its flavor throughout the smoke, creating a pleasurable experience for any cigar enthusiast. Whether it’s a morning or evening cigar that you desire, the Helix Natural will fit the bill.
The Helix Maduro cigar is not your typical powerful Maduro. Although it is stronger than the Helix Natural, this cigar is not going to make you have to sit down while smoking. It’s a nice change of pace for a Maduro, though, because it allows you to experience a different flavor without overpowering you. Using an aged Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, the Helix Maduro maintains the smooth flavors that are employed by the Helix Natural cigar. For the binder, the Helix Maduro cigar uses premium Honduran tobacco. The filler is made up of tobacco from Brazil, Honduras, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. For the smoker looking for something new, you know you can’t go wrong when it’s coming from General Cigar, so pick up a box of Helix Maduro today!
The Helix Remix cigar is the newest addition to the already successful Helix cigar. Offered in two flavors, either the delicious Amaretto, or the Café Royale. These cigars use the same blend of tobacco used in the Helix Natural cigar. Essentially, the Helix Remix is an infused version of the delicious Helix Natural. The Helix Remix Amaretto is infused with quality Amaretto, and the Helix Remix Café Royale is infused with exquisite coffee. Offered in most traditional sizes, as well as in smaller tins, the Helix Remix is an enjoyable twist on a incredibly well-made cigar. Every cigar that General Cigar puts out has gone through an extensive amount of quality control, and we stand by all the cigars that they put out. Helix cigars are no different and we here at BestCigarPrices.com are confident that you will enjoy any Helix cigar that you purchase. Why wait? Call us now at 1-888-41-CIGAR today!

Revolucion Cigars
Back in 2002, when BestCigarPrices decided that we needed a house brand cigar that offered both amazing quality and reasonable price, Perdomo was the ideal choice. Being fans of the many lines that Nick Perdomo has produced, we knew that we would be offering a quality product we could stand behind for many years.
All of Revolucion cigars are made in Esteli, Nicaragua, and are presented in quantities of twenty in classic wooden boxes. We also offer many Revolucions in 5 packs, perfect for sampling before buying the whole box. Whether you choose the Connecticut, Cameroon, or Maduro, you’ll experience the same incredible flavor, even burn, easy draw, and smooth finish. Did I mention the great price? Now for the details...
The U.S. Connecticut Line is made from a rare, aged Cuban seed, combined with a genuine Nicaraguan binder and filler, wrapped with a luscious Connecticut wrapper. The Connecticut blend is offered in the following sizes: Churchill, Robusto, Torpedo and Toro. We like to define this smoke as being a mild to medium bodied cigar, with an uncharacteristic nutty and creamy finish. The Connecticut is a great choice for someone looking for the perfect afternoon cigar, or someone new to the cigar world who’s looking to sample a quality mild cigar at a mild price.
The Revolucion African Cameroon Line is very often compared to the popular C.A.O. Cameroon L’Anniversaire cigar. This blend is comprised of a rare aged Cuban seed, as well as Nicaraguan and Honduran tobacco to make up the filler, and Cuban seed and Nicaraguan tobacco to make up the binder. Perdomo uses only the highest grade Cameroon wrapper to finish out this cigar. The Revolucion African Cameroon cigar is a medium bodied cigar that is best described as rich and complex, and never harsh. Many customers have also told us that they taste hints of cedar in this gem. The Cameroon line is offered in the same standard sizes: Churchill, Robusto, Torpedo and Toro. Pick up a box of twenty today for a fraction of the price of most premium Cameroon cigars on the market.
The Revolucion Maduro Line is definitely the most powerful cigar out of the three. Using all Cuban seed for the binder and filler, as well as a three year aged U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, these Revolucion cigars certainly pack a punch worth trying. This cigar is a medium to full bodied cigar that can be described as hardy, yet still maintaining complex flavors that tickle the pallet throughout the entire smoke.
All Revolucion cigars carry a 100% quality satisfaction guarantee. If you aren’t completely satisfied with your box purchase, call us and we’ll take them back, no questions asked. Gurkha Cigars
The name Gurkha is rooted deep in history throughout the world. The Gurkha people are from Northern India as well as Nepal, and they take their name from the heroic warrior saint, Guru Gorakhnath. A legend states that Bappa Rawal, founder of the state of Mewar (modern day Rajasthan, India), was on a hunting expedition in the jungle when he stumbled upon Gorakhnath. When he awoke, he gave him the famous Kukri knife, which is still used today by the Gurkha people, although it is often called the Gurkha Blade. Rawal went on to conquer Afghanistan, and some of the Middle East, to stop the advances of the Muslims. During the early 1800s, the Gurkhas also waged a war against the British East India Company. This war would be called the Gurkha War by historians. The British were extremely impressed with the courage and bravery of the Gurkhas, and granted Nepal its freedom. Later, the British would also hire Gurkhas as missionaries in their future conquests. The British respect the Gurkhas so much that in modern times they are not considered missionaries, but actual soldiers of the British Army, as the Brigade of Gurkhas.
On a trip to Goa, India in the late 1980's, Kaizad Hansotia discovered a cigar that the locals called Gurkha. He bought the entire brand for a mere $143, and thought he’d give them away as corporate gifts. In 1995 he struck a deal with Miami Cigar Company to bring these cigars to the United States, and sales were at a stand still. Hansotia began to focus on the packaging and presentation aspect of the cigar business, and heads began to turn. He took Gurkha to a new level, creating ultra premium, as well as premium blends that made everyone appreciate, and respect the Gurkha cigar. In no time at all, Gurkha cigars have become known as the “Rolls Royce” cigar of the Dominican Republic. Gurkha also holds the title for the most expensive cigars in the world, having the ultra premium Black Dragon retail at $1,150 a stick, and the His Majesty Reserve retail at $750 a stick. Baccarat Cigars
It’s no coincidence that the entire Baccarat cigar line is called “The Game.” Baccarat is actually a casino card game that was introduced into France from Italy during the time of Charles VIII. The game is similar to Basset and Faro and is a game of both skill, and chance. The game only has three results: Player, Banker and Tie, which are just options on which the customer can bet. Baccarat can be found in most casinos throughout the world, and is even the game of choice by everyone’s favorite secret agent, James Bond (even though Baccarat was replaced by Texas Hold ‘Em in the 2006 version of Casino Royale).
Baccarat cigars are made by Camacho, who also makes La Fontana, National, and El Legend-Ario. Baccarat is the #1 premium selling cigar in the United States. Anyone who is a mild-bodied smoker certainly knows Baccarat. Baccarat is also the perfect cigar for the beginner who is looking to get into the cigar “Game,” but doesn’t want to shell out one or two hundred dollars for a box.
Baccarat cigars were first introduced in 1978, but they can be dated as far back as 1871 under the supervision of Carl Upmann. Master blender Julio Eiroa has kept his consistency in Baccarat throughout the years, and has brought in new and old smokers alike. Baccarat cigars are made in Honduras using a mix of unique tobaccos to create a blend that we’ve all come to love. In Danli, Honduras lies Ranchos Jamastran, an Eden for growing tobacco as it has perfect soil and climate conditions. Baccarat uses Jamastran Habano tobacco for it’s filler, and Mexican Dulce tobacco for its binder. The Connecticut wrapper on Baccarat cigars is nice and mild, but also has some flavor to it. The process of using a sweet gum to finish the cap on a cigar goes back to the older tradition of cigar making. This tradition was famous during the first half of the 20th century, and Baccarat cigars never saw a reason to change.
A mild, smooth and very enjoyable smoke, Baccarat cigars are truly ahead of “The Game.” Available in many different sizes and box counts, as well as tins, any smoker can find a size that suits them. Baccarat also offers some sizes in a Maduro wrapper, as well as a Candela wrapper. A perfect everyday cigar for the mild-bodied smoker, Baccarat has become a staple in the industry, known for quality at a low price. Buy a box today and you’ll see why Baccarat is the #1 selling cigar in the United States.

Punch Cigars
When you light up a Punch cigar, you're not only smoking a bold expression of the cigar maker's art, you're smoking history, for Punch is a legendary cigar with a rich history in Cuba as well as in England. Above all, this is the cigar with the taste that's true to its name.
The original Punch cigar was created in 1840 by a Cuban cigar manufacturer named Manuel Lopez. In an effort to attract the British market, he named the cigar after Mr. Punch, the cantankerous half of the Punch and Judy puppet shows, which also inspired the name of the famous British humor magazine. Produced in Honduras for Villazon Company under the direction of a great Cuban cigar master, Frank Llaneza, Punch has been a leading premium brand ever since it was first imported from Honduras in 1969.
Punch lives up to its name with a bold, full-bodied taste that appeals to men who follow their own instincts as opposed to following the crowd. The wrapper is a full-flavored leaf grown in Ecuador and the filler is a rich blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos.
Not a conventional cigar, and probably not the first cigar for a new smoker to try, Punch is the straightforward, no-nonsense cigar it would have taken to bring a smile to the otherwise curmudgeonly face of Mr. Punch himself.
Even richer than a Punch cigar, a Punch Deluxe cigar delivers a complexity of subtle flavors to please even the most discerning smoker. In addition, the Punch Deluxe selections include several Maduro cigars.
The original Punch cigar was created in 1840 by a Cuban cigar manufacturer named Manuel Lopez. Produced in Honduras for Villazon Company under the direction of a great Cuban cigar master, Frank Llaneza, Punch Deluxe was introduced in 1990 to keep pace with the growing sophistication of premium cigar smokers. It has developed a loyal following of its own ever since.
Punch Deluxe is a complex, full-bodied cigar made with a rich blend of Honduran tobaccos and a robust wrapper grown in Ecuador from Sumatra seed. In addition, the Maduro versions of Punch Deluxe are made with the darkest Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers.
When you sit back with a Punch Deluxe cigar, it compliments the choice you have made with an unsurpassed combination of flavor and finesse.
Punch Grand Cru is a smooth, mild- to medium-bodied cigar that rewards the experienced smoker with elegance. Just as a Punch Deluxe cigar can be compared to a hearty single-malt Scotch, a Punch Grand Cru can be likened to a fine liqueur.
Following the successful introduction of Punch Deluxe in 1990, cigar master Frank Llaneza decided to create a counterpoint to that richest of Punch cigars. The result, Punch Grand Cru, was introduced four years later to give smokers another taste to enjoy within the Punch family.
Often called the pride of the Punch line as well as the silkiest of Hondurans, Punch Grand Cru owes much of its smooth-smoking qualities to its elegant Connecticut Shade wrapper and its unique blend of super-premium Honduran tobaccos. In addition, the Maduro versions of Punch Grand Cru are made with the darkest Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers.
Punch Grand Cru is a cigar to savor on those occasions when you can take all the time in the world to give it your undivided attention and appreciation.
Punch Rare Corojo is a rare cigar because its rich, reddish wrapper leaves can be grown only in limited quantities.
When Punch Rare Corojo was introduced in a limited edition some years ago, the taste and aroma of the cigars was so exceptional, all of them were sold very quickly. Then, in the year 2001, Villazon cigar master Frank Llaneza began producing in small quantities, a new square-pressed version of the cigar that is even more robust than the original.
Punch Rare Corojo cigars are made with extra rich, dark Sumatra wrapper leaves that are grown in the mountains of Ecuador. The filler is a rich blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos.
If you want a Punch cigar with an extra kick to it, Punch Rare Corojo, in the distinctive red box, is the one for you.
When you light up a Punch Gran Puro cigar, you're smoking one of the finest examples of the Honduran cigar maker's art... an all-Honduran Puro cigar developed to bring out the best of the round, spicy flavors for which Honduran-made cigars have become famous. The Punch Gran Puro stays true to the Punch tradition of rich taste that's true to its name.
Punch has been a leading premium brand from Villazon Company ever since it was first imported from Honduras in 1969. A Cuban cigar manufacturer named Manuel Lopez created the original Punch cigar in 1840. In an effort to attract the British market, he named the cigar after Mr. Punch, the cantankerous half of the Punch and Judy puppet shows, which also inspired the name of the famous British humor magazine. Punch Gran Puro, introduced in 2003, expresses the heritage of Mr. Punch with an elegant domed medallion on the box that features a classic illustration of Mr. Punch and his dog Toby.
Punch Gran Puro is all-Honduran with an extra-dark, extra-bold Havana-seed wrapper developed exclusively for this cigar in the rich San Agustin Valley of Honduras. Both the wrapper and the binder leaves are sun-grown and carefully selected from the highest primings to ensure the cigars' special color and flavor. The result is the Puro of Puros -- a cigar impossible to imitate.
A new experience in smoking, Punch Gran Puro is pure Honduran, a medium-full bodied, no-nonsense cigar that would have brought a smile to the otherwise curmudgeonly face of Mr. Punch himself

Griffins Cigars
The Gryphon (also spelled Griffin) is a legendary mythical creature that has the head and wings of an eagle, but the body of a lion. It’s history goes as far back as Ancient Egypt, and remained prevalent through the Ancient Greeks, who cite the Gryphon in many tales. The Ancient Greek poet Aristeas wrote about Gryphons and Herodotus, the “father of Modern History”. He also wrote of the Gryphons being protectors of Zeus. Many medieval coat of arms feature Gryphons as the charge on the shield, which was a powerful symbol for whoever owned such an instrument of war. Some say that the Gryphon was used to instill fear upon the opponents horses. Gryphons have also been mentioned in such classic literature as Dante’s The Divine Comedy, Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Marvelous Land of Oz. In recent history, they have also played a major role in the Harry Potter series, as well as the Spiderwick Chronicles. In fact, Busch Gardens in Williamsburg opened a roller coaster in May, 2007 called The Griffon, which is not only the world’s tallest dive machine coaster, but the world’s fastest dive machine coaster as well.
Griffin’s cigars are shrouded in the same mystique that has surrounded the Gryphon. These delicious, mild cigars use tobacco plants that have been harvested in the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. The Cibao Valley is the most fertile location in the Dominican Republic, and the tradition of tobacco cultivation has been existent for over five hundred years. Griffin’s cigars are produced at the Davidoff factory by legendary master-blender Hendrik Kelner. Each cigar is carefully hand-rolled to ensure the same quality in every stick. Griffin’s cigars use a luscious Connecticut wrapper that has undergone strict quality control as well. Griffin’s cigars come in three different lines besides their limited edition cigars which have been released throughout the years. Just like any other cigar line found at BestCigarPrices.com, if there is a Griffin cigar that you would like that we do not carry, do not hesitate to give us a call and let us know. We want to carry what you want to smoke.
The Griffin’s Classic cigar has the most sizes that any other Griffin’s cigar offers. From the small Perfecto (4 5/8 x 53) to the giant Prestige (7 ½ x 50), there is a size for any aficionado in the Griffin’s Classic cigar line. For that special get-together, or for the everyday smoker, Griffin’s Classic cigars are great for any occasion. The Griffin’s 300 and Robusto sizes also come in tubes, as well as cellophane. The Griffin’s cigar tubes guarantee complete flavor and moisture retention for at least three months, which makes it the perfect cigar for the traveling cigar smoker. For the smoker who enjoys a mild cigar that has an exquisitely balanced flavor and character, try a box or a five pack of any Griffin’s Classic cigars today!
The Griffin’s Maduro cigar maintains the same quality of the Griffin’s Classic, but instead uses an aged Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. The word Maduro, which actually means mature and ripe in Spanish, demands more attention than the regular Natural Connecticut wrapper. Griffin’s Maduro cigars are certainly stronger and more aromatic than the Griffin’s Classic cigar, but they are not overpowering by any means. For those of you looking for a full-bodied cigar that’s going to knock your socks off, the Griffin’s Maduro cigar is not it. But, for those of you looking for a quality Dominican Maduro cigar that is strong, but not overtly strong, the Griffin’s Maduro cigar is a perfect fit. We here at BestCigarPrices.com are proud to offer you these cigars at a price that you can’t miss, so try a box, or a sampler pack of any Griffin’s Maduro cigars and we promise that you’ll be thanking us later.
The third cigar in the Griffin’s cigar line is the Griffin’s Fuerte cigar, which is currently only offered in a handful of sizes. The Griffin’s Fuerte cigar come in attractive wooden boxes of ten, and they are the strongest, and most flavorsome cigars in the Griffin’s cigar arsenal. Using a special tobacco blend composed exclusively of different Ligero tobaccos, the Griffin’s Fuerte is not a cigar for the novice smoker. The extra sunshine that Ligero leaves receive, as well as the careful curing, fermentation and ripening of the leaves allow for them to maintain a spicy-full bodied flavor that is hard to pass up. For those of you who are left wanting more after the Griffin’s Maduro, try the Griffin’s Fuerte cigar and experience the diversity that is Griffin’s cigars.
Lastly, Griffin’s has decided to offer the on-the-go smoker the Griffin’s Griffinos cigarillos. These little delights are made in the Dominican Republic with the same creamy Dominican tobaccos that are used in the Griffin’s Classic cigar. A mild Connecticut wrapper is used to envelope these cigarillos. Griffin’s Griffinos are beautifully balanced, harmonious cigarillos that maintain a unique Caribbean flavor. Griffin’s has also made sure to carefully package these little cigarillos, as well as subsequent quality controls to ensure the highest quality cigarillos that they can offer. Purchase these in either single tins of twenty, or bricks of one hundred, either way, the Griffin’s Griffinos will bring a smile to your face with every puff.

Avo Cigars
Avo Uvezian was born in 1926 in Beirut, Lebanon to a family of musicians. His mother was a tremendously gifted singer, while his father was a composer as well as a conductor for a symphony orchestra. Avo’s dream as a young man was to develop a great career as a musician, with the piano being his instrument of choice. His parents’ connections in music allowed him to grow and develop his talents very quicky. Avo traveled to the Near East as well as the Middle East with the jazz trio, The Lebanon Boys. This group let Avo make contacts that would later help his career in the United States. Avo arrived in the United States in 1947, and he attended the Juliard School of Music in New York City. At Juliard, Avo studied classical piano and composition, but his studies were cut short by the draft for the Korean War. Avo was sent to Fort Dix in New Jersey where he was put through Infantry training. After impressing his officers with his musical talents, Avo Uvezian was taken out of the Infantry and put into Band Training. When he arrived in Korea, the band would play at the Officers Club where they got paid twenty dollars a night. After returning to New York to continue out his career with the military, Avo was discharged in 1952 after serving the United States with honor.
After being discharged, Avo spent the next few years working with his father-in-law designing jewelry. This eventually brought him to Puerto Rico where he used his musical talent to land a gig at the Palmas Del Mar resort. Avo would advance his career as a professional musician after composing Frank Sinatra’s 1966 hit “Strangers in the Night”. This song features Avo on piano and won three Grammy Awards in 1967. This hit song would later be covered by many famous musicians, and ironically the end of the song when Sinatra is scattin’ the words “doo-be-doo-be-doo” is the inspiration for the name of the Scooby Doo character.
In 1983, when Avo’s daughter Karyn was born, he went to Switzerland for her christening. After having some Cuban cigars after the meal, Avo realized that he was being charged over twenty dollars per cigar. He was outraged at this, and his friend mentioned that they should make their own. That’s exactly how Avo Uvezian decided to get into the cigar industry, a spontaneous man who knows what he wants. After deciding this, Avo booked a trip to the Dominican Republic, where he traveled for two years looking for a factory that suited his needs. Avo finally met Hendrik Kelner, and after smoking his first samples, Avo told Kelner that he would give him twenty five percent more than he had originally offered. He knew that this would ensure that his Avo cigars would get the best tobacco. Avo’s friend, Michael Roux, the man who brought Absolut Vodka to the United States, told Avo that he should make his cigars the best quality that he can, and put the product in the best packaging. Avo already had the right connections, and after the first year he had sold 120,000 cigars. By the third year, Avo had sold over 750,000 cigars! He soon worked out a deal with Davidoff to distribute his cigars globally. Avo cigars have now blossomed into a variety of different lines, all of which BestCigarPrices.com is proud to carry.
The Avo Classic cigar is a mild, yet flavorful cigar, and is the very cigar that Avo build his family of cigars upon. Using a delicious Connecticut-seed Sun Grown Wrapper grown in Ecuador, the Avo Classic cigar is delightfully aromatic, as well as being rich in flavor. The Avo Classic cigar uses Cuban-seed Piloto and San Vicente filler and binder, that is blended with Dominican Olor leaves to create the Avo Classic aroma and mellow flavor. These cigars have always been a top seller at BestCigarPrices, and anyone who has tried an Avo can attest to the quality that lies inside each wooden box.
The Avo Maduro cigar, the Maduro version of the Avo Classic cigar, allows for the smoker who enjoys a stronger smoke to experience the Avo cigar. The same rich, smooth flavor that’s found in the Avo Classic cigar is present here in the Avo Maduro. The only difference is that the Avo Maduro is a more intense smoke, as it has the Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. The Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper is aged for three years, naturally fermented for an additional three months and then fermented a second time to produce a deep, rich color. The bitterness that often plagues most Maduro cigars is not found in an Avo Maduro cigar, and although they are stronger than the Avo Classics, they are not as bold as some of the other cigars that Avo has to offer.
The Avo XO cigar was Avo Uvezian’s second cigar line, and with it he referenced many musical terms in the creation of the cigar names. This line features a blend that is made from selected Dominican filler tobacco that has not been aged until fully blended. The binder leaf that is used by the Avo XO cigar is some of the best Olor tobacco that is grown in the Villa Gonzalez region. The Avo XO cigar is at the middle of the spectrum of strength and aroma in the Avo cigar series. It is fuller than the Classic and Maduro line, but milder than the Domaine and Signature line. The Avo XO cigars come in either cellophane or in tubes, and they are offered in most traditional sizes.
The Avo Domaine cigar is one of the strongest cigar that Avo offers, second to the Avo Signature cigar. Featuring filler tobacco from Avo Uvezian’s own plantation in the Dominican Republic, as well as full-bodied wrapper leaves from Ecuador, the Avo Domaine cigar packs a punch, but if you’re ready for it, it’s worth it. Avo created this cigar because he wanted a cigar for the connoisseur, and the aficionado, who know how to smoke, and enjoy a full-bodied cigar. The Avo Domaine cigar is worth smoking for that full-bodied enthusiast who hasn’t had an Avo cigar before. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
The Avo 787 cigar and the Avo Signature cigar are not as readily available as the other Avo cigar lines. The Avo 787 is a medium bodied cigar that is very flavorful smoke that is complete and balanced. With flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, as well as notes of dried nuts and spice, you can’t go wrong with an Avo 787. The Avo Signature cigar was created as a result of the success of the Avo 75th Anniversary cigar. The overwhelming response to this cigar made Avo realize that he had to create a bold, full-bodied cigar that is not for the novice smoker. If the Avo Domaine cigar isn’t strong enough for you, we promise the Avo Signature cigar will hit the spot. Featuring select aged tobacco from the Dominican Republic, as well as an aged Ecuadorian Sun-Grown wrapper, this rare and unique blend provides the perfect balance between a full-bodied flavor and a perfectly balanced taste. Whether it’s the mild Avo Classic, or the full bodied Avo Signature, you know you’re getting quality when you invest in a box, or a five pack of any Avo cigars!
